Web Application Admin / Developer

We are looking for a Contractor / Part-time staff to help provide technical services to our SEO Agencies and Customers.

Ideal candidates will be part of an open-minded team that actively shares ideas and concepts on their way to building a solid, well-designed software platform. You will be working closely with the SVP Platform Technology to maintain one of our strategic customers hosted server environment, as well as working with our Digital Marketing Strategy team for customer related IT / Web development tasks.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining hosted websites on WordPress.

  • Maintaining custom developed scripts for Site Auditing / Maintenance

  • Ensuring all systems and processes are properly documented

  • Monitoring of systems for uptime and performance

  • Working with our Digital Marketing Strategy team to provide initial customer website setup and security. (Word-Press etc)

  • Manage relationships with hosting/service providers

Skill and Experience Requirements:

  • 2-3 years in Systems and Network administration

  • Experience with WordPress / HTML / CSS / JS / PHP / Perl

  • Experience with a software product/SaaS development company or IT service provider

  • Must have excellent English communication skill; both verbal and written, including system and technical documentation

  • Must be personable, professional and passionate about their work

  • Experience with SEO is an asset.

  • Experience with Ruby is an asset.

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is an asset

Compensation:

  • Salary / Contract rate competitive and based on experience

  • Hours per month – Estimated 40 

You should be the type of person that has a drive to learn new technologies, and be quick on your feet to react to changing requirements, and priorities. A strong foundation with the ability to learn new systems and concepts will be an asset.
